Gespro’s role in the project
Our team in charge of the project worked closely with our client to provide the resources and skills needed to turn their vision into a success. We have collected data, analysed it and reorganized the factory according to the new equipment and products. We supervised the work carried by the equipment suppliers and the contractor.
We worked on studying, installing and starting-up a new filling line. The main scope was to improve flow, productivity, simplify methods and reduce operating costs.
Concretely, Gespro has:
- Reduced the breakage of glass packaging and improved temperature control in cooling process
- Dismantled and installed new lines with higher capacity and lower operations’ cost
- Tested new line parameters through simulations
- Trained operators and technicians, evaluated the technologies available
- Conducted a risk analysis study
Equipment that we have installed
- A robotic pick and place in a thermoformer
- A modified and improved design of the robotic collator at the exit of the thermorming machine
- A high speed processed cheese filling line, an accumulator and a robotic case packer
- A pouch filler, a gallon filler, conveyors and coders
