AGRO-BIOTECH STATION GAINED IN PRODUCTIVITY THANKS TO THE INTEGRATION OF A NEW FILLING LINE

December 19, 2019

Recommended by his peers, the owner of Bilboquet microbrewery gave Gespro Packaging the mandate to rethink the canning process/layout/capacity of his plant considering the growth in volume and variety of cans. Gespro's creative vision made it possible to change the layout of the plant to make it more functional and to go from filling 27 cans per minute to 55 cans per minute by integrating a new counter-pressure filler/depalletizer/packing equipment.

Mr Alain Ares, operation’s director, appreciated the solution/support provided by the Gespro team: “Fadi directed us to the right people. his tips have been extremely helpful. Great availability and good flexibility” he underlined. The Agro-Biotech station bringing together the companies Fixi Kombucha, Bilboquet and the Noroi distillery did not have the production capacity to meet all the demand a few months ago. "We turned down offers because we didn't have the labor force behind to be able to meet the demand," said Mr. Ares. Thanks to the acquisition of its new automated and more efficient production line, Agro-biotech can now respond more to the opportunities that arise. The new equipment made it possible to solve, among other things, the problem related to the loss of consumable materials they were facing. “Every time I filled a can with the other machine, there was always loss from frequent overflows. Plus a lot of cans that were destroyed in the process, ”Ares said. Now that the production chain is modernized, Agro-Biotech is embarking on new projects. It plans to expand its product line. In fact, she acquired a cider house and wineries license last fall. “In the same building, we have all alcohol permits at the manufacturing level, which is rare,” Mr. Ares proudly pointed out.
